We have settled into our beautiful temporary home, have scheduled daily English lessons with a few locals, and are practicing our espanol where we can. When the weather is good we spend as much time outside as possible. And when it's not? We stay inside and keep up a tradition we created in Korea where we watch all of the Academy Awards best picture nominees. So far we've seen this, this, and this. Still trying to work my way through the book version of this one before we see it and deciding if I can handle the gore of this one and this one.

Last weekend we were lucky enough to get some visitors! My college best friend and her husband spent a week with us here on the island. Their vacation overlapped with that of another friend and her now fiancee. He proposed in nearby Cancun and the newly engaged couple took the ferry over to celebrate with us on Sunday. Together we tried some new local restaurants, took in some pre-Carnaval festivities, lounged on the beach, and shopped the Cozumel strip. Recaps soon!
Lately, life is good.
